PARD INDIA, in collaboration with IRCON International Ltd., inaugurated the "After-School Education" program, be setting up READ center at Pantam Satyanarayana Municipal Primary School, Seethampeta, Rajahmundry. The program is designed to support underprivileged students, creating interest in learning through their active engagement. This intervention specifically benefits about 40 students studying 4th & 5th classes.
The READ center was inaugurated by the CWC Chairperson, Ms. Surya Prabhavathi who praised the program during the launch, appreciating its innovative approach to education. She highlighted the importance of such initiatives in making education accessible and enjoyable for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Her remarks underscored the value of PARD INDIA’s contributions to community upliftment through the power of education.
The event witnessed active participation from key stakeholders, including CFC in charge – Mr. Amir Shasha, school HM – Ms. Chaitanya Kumar, Director (READ Project) of PARD INDIA – Mr. Veerabhadra Rao, and local team members – Ms. Bhumika Kumari and READ Teacher – Ms. Sri Durga. Their presence emphasized the collective effort behind the program’s success. Children were provided with gifts of educational material such as books, pens, and pencils and served snacks. The event marked a meaningful step toward ensuring quality education for all, reflecting PARD INDIA’s commitment to empowering communities through education.
The main objectives of the “After School Education Program” address the needs of the children for their overall development and empowerment through the power of education. This intervention will play a decisive role in achieving the following SDGs of 2030 at the grassroots:
- SDG-1 (No Poverty)
- SDG-4 (Quality Education)
- SDG-5 (Gender Equality) and
- SDG-10 (Reduced Inequalities)
PARD INDIA is in a CSR partnership with M/s IRCON International Ltd, New Delhi, a Government of India Undertaking (Navaratna Company) under the Ministry of Railways to implement the “After School Education Program” under the READ Project. This project will support about 200 V-kids in ten (10) Government Primary Schools for twelve (12) months starting from October 2024.
Our “V-kids” are those children hailing from rural backgrounds who are often denied equal opportunities in their upbringing, study environment, and exposure to the competitive world.
