After School Education Program

Inspiring Young Minds (V-Kids)!

Cause:

  • About 78% of children in Standard III and about 50% in Standard V cannot yet read Standard II textbooks in government schools in India.
  • 13 out of every 100 Indians between 5 and 29 years did not attend school or drop-out because they did not consider education “necessary.”

Program Highlights:

  • We, as one of top NGOs in India for education, care for the after-school educational needs of deprived children(V-kids) and provide a learning environment that children could not get at home.

Village Knowledge Centre Program

Bridging the “Digital Gap” in Rural Areas

Cause:

  • There is a growing disparity between those with access to information technology and those without access.
  • Only 31% of the rural population uses the internet compared to 67% of the urban population. Nearly 6% of rural and 29% of urban households possess a computer.

Program Highlights:

  • We, as one of the Best Education NGOs in India, provide free “Computer & Internet Training” for children, students, and youth in villages.
  • Support the development of IT and Soft Skills and employment opportunities.
  • Provide computer-aided learning to disadvantaged children (V-kids) and draw them back to the classroom.

V-kid Knowledge Boost Program

Introducing V-kids to the Competitive World

Cause:

  • Children (V-kids) from marginalized communities in rural areas are often denied equal opportunities to get exposure to the competitive world, especially during the period of primary studies from class 1st to 5th.
  • Inequalities in the upbringing of V-kids shall impact them negatively regarding their knowledge and skills, pushing them to a disadvantageous position in our competitive world.

Program Highlights:

  • Our VKKB Program exposes 5-th class children in government primary schools in rural areas to competitive tests, and winners are awarded with six (6) years of merit scholarship covering their 5th to 10th class studies.
  • Help to enhance students' subject knowledge and academic performance in government schools through Quiz programs and Talent Tests.
  • Provide a platform for community participation in the overall development of deprived children.

V-kid Scholarship Program

Enabling Continuity of Education

Cause:

  • Students who have no support from their families or the government to meet educational expenses tend to live in stressful conditions that will affect them negatively and may result in either the discontinuity of their studies or poor academic results.
  • Some of the V-kids have a risk of dropping their education at any stage, primarily owing to conditions of poverty and insufficient financial support.

Program Highlights:

  • We, one of the top charities for education in India, support deprived students (V-kids) with annual scholarships to help them continue their studies.
  • Students with no parents, single parents, or orphans are supported with annual educational scholarships on priority.
  • Supporting the future that, in return, yields to “Give back to Society.”

Child Labor Prevention Program

“Right to Education for all Children”

Cause:

  • Child labor deprives children of education and opportunity and stacks the odds against their securing a decent income and stable employment as adults.
  • Out of the total child population of 259.64 million, 10.13 million child laborers between 5-14 years are in India; 80% (8.1 million) are concentrated in rural areas (2011 Census data).

Program Highlights:

  • All our programs under the “Rural Education and Development (READ) Project” inter-alia address the core issues of the development of deprived children (V-kids), potentially helping to control school dropouts.
  • Run Bridge School in the nearby classrooms for children identified as child laborers.
  • Work with local communities and government administration for the eradication of child labor in rural areas.

Cause:

  • Over 1.2 million students are out of school across India, most at the elementary level.
  • Efforts to reduce dropout rates include improving the quality of education.

Program Highlights:
