In a continued effort to strengthen foundational education in rural communities, PARD INDIA, in collaboration with IRCON International Ltd, has re-launched the After School Education Program (ASEP) at the Mandal Parishad Primary School in Pullalapadu village.
The reopening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Ambati Srinivasa Rao as the chief guest, with Mr. Alluri Harichandan, School Headmaster Mr. G. Rambabu, and Village Secretariat Digital Assistant Mr. Subbarao also present.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Alluri Harichandan expressed his heartfelt appreciation, stating, “This program was successfully conducted here in 2024–25 and proved to be a great initiative for students. We are very happy to see it return to our village. PARD INDIA is truly making a difference by offering special academic attention to our children.”
As part of the program relaunch, students were provided with notebooks, pens, and snacks, aiming to enhance their motivation and participation. The ASEP initiative offers structured academic support after regular school hours, helping underprivileged children strengthen their learning and stay on track.
The event saw active participation from PARD INDIA members including Mr. Somashetti Venkatarao, Read Teacher Ms. Bujji, Mr. Hemakumar, students, and local community members.
The relaunch was met with enthusiasm, reflecting the growing impact of the program across rural Andhra Pradesh.
The main objectives of the “After School Education Program” address the needs of the children for their overall development and empowerment through the power of education. This intervention will play a decisive role in achieving the following SDGs of 2030 at the grassroots:
- SDG-1 (No Poverty)
- SDG-4 (Quality Education)
- SDG-5 (Gender Equality) and
- SDG-10 (Reduced Inequalities)
PARD INDIA is in a CSR partnership with M/s IRCON International Ltd, New Delhi, a Government of India Undertaking (Navaratna Company) under the Ministry of Railways to implement the “After School Education Program” under the READ Project. This project will support about 200 V-kids in ten (10) Government Primary Schools for twelve (12) months starting from October 2024.
Our “V-kids” are those children hailing from rural backgrounds who are often denied equal opportunities in their upbringing, study environment, and exposure to the competitive world.
