The "After School Education Program," a joint initiative by PARD INDIA and CSR Partner, M/s IRCON International Ltd, was inaugurated at Medarapeta Municipal Elementary School in Rajahmundry. This program targets about 30 underprivileged students who face challenges in maintaining academic interest and consistency.
CWC Chairperson, Ms. Surya Prabhavati and community leader, Mr. Reddy Mani led the inauguration, highlighting the program’s innovative approach to learning through activities like games, stories, dance, songs, drawing, gardening, etc. designed to make education more engaging and impactful. During the event, both dignitaries commended the initiative for its focus on improving students' concentration and fostering enthusiasm for education. They emphasized the importance of such programs in creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive academically and personally.
Parents and community members joined the celebration, showing their support for the program. The event concluded with the distribution of essential supplies, including notebooks, pens, pencils, sketch pens, and snacks, ensuring the students are well-prepared for their academic journey.
PARD INDIA launched its “After School Education Program” in the same school for the first time on 16 February 2024. As of 31 March 2024, we have provided 1,520 e-hours of free education to 30 children (V-kids) of this school's 4th and 5th classes.
The main objectives of the “After School Education Program” address the needs of the children for their overall development and empowerment through the power of education. This intervention will play a decisive role in achieving the following SDGs of 2030 at the grassroots:
- SDG-1 (No Poverty)
- SDG-4 (Quality Education)
- SDG-5 (Gender Equality) and
- SDG-10 (Reduced Inequalities)
