PARD INDIA, in collaboration with our CSR Partner M/s IRCON International Limited, has launched first time an innovative "After-School Education Program" at Midhani Learning Center, Kanchan Bagh, Balapur Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, Telangana on 13th November 2024. This center supports children struggling with academic engagement in the slum areas in Hyderabad.
The initiative was inaugurated by Mr. Bala Naik who highlighted his creative approach to nurturing discipline, confidence, and creativity among students. Through interactive methods such as games, songs, and storytelling, the program seeks to make learning enjoyable and impactful.
Free notebooks, pens, and pencils were distributed to participating students, ensuring they had the essential resources to succeed. Mr. Kishore praised the initiative as a transformative step in shaping the future of underprivileged children. The event marked a significant step toward addressing educational challenges in slum areas of cities.
Community leaders, including Mr. Bala Naik and PARD INDIA READ Teacher Mr. Srinu, and local community members participated in the event, applauding the program's potential to instill a love for learning. They emphasized the importance of fostering not only academic growth but also life skills and creativity in children. Distributed study materials and snacks to the children, adding a touch of warmth and care to the event. The initiative received positive feedback from parents and community members, who expressed gratitude for the organization's efforts to uplift rural education.
The main objectives of the “After School Education Program” address the needs of the children for their overall development and empowerment through the power of education. This intervention will play a decisive role in achieving the following SDGs of 2030 at the grassroots:
- SDG-1 (No Poverty)
- SDG-4 (Quality Education)
- SDG-5 (Gender Equality) and
- SDG-10 (Reduced Inequalities)
PARD INDIA is in a CSR partnership with M/s IRCON International Ltd, New Delhi, a Government of India Undertaking (Navaratna Company) under the Ministry of Railways to implement the “After School Education Program” under the READ Project. This project will support about 200 V-kids in ten (10) Government Primary Schools for twelve (12) months starting from October 2024.
Our “V-kids” are those children hailing from rural backgrounds who are often denied equal opportunities in their upbringing, study environment, and exposure to the competitive world.
