In a meaningful step toward strengthening foundational education, the After School Education Program (ASEP) was formally launched at the MPP Primary School in Yernagudem village. The initiative is a joint effort by PARD INDIA and M/s IRCON aimed at providing academic support to students beyond school hours.
The program was officially inaugurated by Mr. Nuthalapati Ananda Rao, Headmaster of the school, and Mr. Karumanchi Ganesh, President of PARD INDIA.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nuthalapati Ananda Rao commended the efforts of PARD INDIA, highlighting the inspirational journey of its founder, Mr. Bethala Veeraswamy, who rose from humble beginnings to become a dedicated servant of the underprivileged. "His commitment to community welfare is truly commendable," he said.
Mr. Karumanchi Ganesh also addressed the gathering and emphasized the impactful services being rendered by PARD INDIA. "Our mission is to uplift and empower communities through meaningful educational interventions," he noted.
As part of the event, notebooks and pens were distributed to the students, marking the beginning of this impactful educational initiative.
The main objectives of the “After School Education Program” address the needs of the children for their overall development and empowerment through the power of education. This intervention will play a decisive role in achieving the following SDGs of 2030 at the grassroots:
- SDG-1 (No Poverty)
- SDG-4 (Quality Education)
- SDG-5 (Gender Equality) and
- SDG-10 (Reduced Inequalities)
PARD INDIA is in a CSR partnership with M/s IRCON International Ltd, New Delhi, a Government of India Undertaking (Navaratna Company) under the Ministry of Railways to implement the “After School Education Program” under the READ Project. This project will support about 200 V-kids in ten (10) Government Primary Schools for twelve (12) months starting from October 2024.
Our “V-kids” are those children hailing from rural backgrounds who are often denied equal opportunities in their upbringing, study environment, and exposure to the competitive world.
