In a dedicated effort to support and uplift underprivileged students, PARD INDIA, in collaboration with IRCON International Ltd, has re-launched the After School Education Program (ASEP) at the Mandal Parishad Primary School in Nallajerla village, Devarapalli Mandal.
The inaugural event was graced by Mr. Ambati Srinivasa Rao as the chief guest and Ms. G. Krishnakumari, Headmistress of the school, along with Mr. Ashirvadam, Mr. Raju, PARD INDIA Mandal President Mr. Sharif, and Treasurer Mr. G.V.V. Prasad. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sharif highlighted the success of the 2024–25 ASEP run at the same school and expressed his joy that the initiative was being restarted. “This program has been a blessing for many poor children,” he said, thanking PARD INDIA for their continued commitment to quality education.
Treasurer G.V.V. Prasad added that PARD INDIA Founder Mr. Bethala Veeraswamy, who rose from humble beginnings, established the organization with the mission of serving the underprivileged. His vision continues to drive impactful programs like ASEP, making education more accessible to children in need.
As part of the event, students were provided with notebooks, pens, and snacks, symbolizing both encouragement and care. The program aims to provide additional academic support after school hours to help children improve their learning outcomes in a supportive environment.
The event witnessed participation from PARD INDIA members Mr. Somishetti Venkatarao, Read Teacher Ms. Spandana, Mr. Hemakumar, students, and community members, marking the successful restart of an initiative that continues to shape brighter futures.
The main objectives of the “After School Education Program” address the needs of the children for their overall development and empowerment through the power of education. This intervention will play a decisive role in achieving the following SDGs of 2030 at the grassroots:
- SDG-1 (No Poverty)
- SDG-4 (Quality Education)
- SDG-5 (Gender Equality) and
- SDG-10 (Reduced Inequalities)
PARD INDIA is in a CSR partnership with M/s IRCON International Ltd, New Delhi, a Government of India Undertaking (Navaratna Company) under the Ministry of Railways to implement the “After School Education Program” under the READ Project. This project will support about 200 V-kids in ten (10) Government Primary Schools for twelve (12) months starting from October 2024.
Our “V-kids” are those children hailing from rural backgrounds who are often denied equal opportunities in their upbringing, study environment, and exposure to the competitive world.
