To support rural education and nurture young minds, PARD INDIA, in collaboration with IRCON International Ltd., launched the After School Education Program (ASEP) at the Mandal Parishad Primary School in Tyajampudi village, Devarapalli Mandal.
The inauguration event was graced by School Headmaster Mr. Mohammed Gafur Sharif, who expressed his appreciation, stating, “It is truly commendable that PARD INDIA is conducting such a beneficial program for students. I hope all the students will make the best use of this opportunity.”
Teacher Mr. Nagendra, reflecting on his experience, shared, “I’ve known PARD INDIA and its work since 2011. Many students who benefited from their initiatives have now reached respectable positions. I urge current students to utilize this valuable opportunity as well.”
Also present at the event were Teachers Triveni and Bhavani, PARD INDIA Executive Member Mr. Srinivas, Somishetti Venkatarao, READ Teacher Sujitha, Hem Kumar, School Chairperson G. Nagalakshmi, and parents including Venkateswari, Jhansi, Mounika, Durga Bhavani, and Poshamma, along with enthusiastic participation from the students.
All attending students were gifted with notebooks, pens, and nutritious snacks, reinforcing PARD INDIA’s commitment to providing both educational support and motivation for underprivileged children.
The main objectives of the “After School Education Program” address the needs of the children for their overall development and empowerment through the power of education. This intervention will play a decisive role in achieving the following SDGs of 2030 at the grassroots:
- SDG-1 (No Poverty)
- SDG-4 (Quality Education)
- SDG-5 (Gender Equality) and
- SDG-10 (Reduced Inequalities)
PARD INDIA is in a CSR partnership with M/s IRCON International Ltd, New Delhi, a Government of India Undertaking (Navaratna Company) under the Ministry of Railways to implement the “After School Education Program” under the READ Project. This project will support about 200 V-kids in ten (10) Government Primary Schools for twelve (12) months starting from October 2024.
Our “V-kids” are those children hailing from rural backgrounds who are often denied equal opportunities in their upbringing, study environment, and exposure to the competitive world.
