On Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary, a Mega Blood Donation Camp was successfully organized at Elite Educational Society, Dubhacherla, under the joint initiative of Lions Club, Dubhacherla, and PARD INDIA, in collaboration with the Government Hospital Blood Bank, Eluru.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and youth. The program was inaugurated by Mrs. Karakala Srilakshmi, Principal of Elite Educational Institutions, who inspired others by being the first to donate blood. She shared that she has donated blood 11 times, setting a remarkable example of humanitarian service for the younger generation.
A total of over 31 students voluntarily came forward to donate blood, showcasing their commitment to community welfare and social responsibility.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ambati Srinivasa Rao, National President of PARD INDIA and Blood Camp Coordinator, stated:
Blood donation is one of the noblest acts of humanity. Inspired by Dr. Kalam’s ideals, today’s youth are contributing to society through this selfless act.”
Prominent dignitaries including Mr. Tammina Srinivasa Rao, President of Lions Club Dubhacherla; Mr. Cheemakurthi Krishna Prasad, Honorary President of PARD INDIA; Mr. Garapati Subba Rao and Mr. Yelamarthi Sudarshan, Correspondents of Elite Educational Institutions; and Dr. Sonia Mohan and Dr. Jayalakshmi from Eluru Blood Bank, attended the program and congratulated all the blood donors for their noble gesture.
The organizers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the management, staff, and students of Elite Educational Society for their active participation and support in making the event a grand success.
