PARD INDIA relaunched its “After School Education Program” at the READ Center in ZPH School in Yernagudem, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, on 24 October 2024, supporting the after-school education needs of about 25 V-kids studying 4th class.
The proposed project shall be structured to empower deprived children (V-kids), focusing on their holistic development at primary studies level. It lays the foundation for a child's future academic success. Children develop essential skills such as reading, writing, and numerical proficiency crucial for their ongoing learning journey by receiving a high-quality education during their early years.
Prominent local industrialist Shri Kashi Vishwanatham inaugurated the READ center at Sri Bollina Ganga Raju (SBGR) Zilla Parishad High School in Yernagudem. Special guests attended the event, including the school Headmaster, Shri Uba Chandra Rao, and PARD INDIA members, who all praised this initiative and its everlasting impact on the development of V-kids. In the words of the headmaster, “PARD INDIA has been laying the foundation for building the temples of schools that empower generations to overcome the clutches of poverty and impact inclusive development at the grassroots.”
PARD INDIA launched its “After School Education Program” at this school (formerly MPPS Main School) for the first time on September 1, 2017. As of March 31, 2024, we have provided 34,605 e-hours of free education to 209children (V-kids) of this school's 4th and 5th classes.
The main objectives of the “After School Education Program” address the needs of the children for their overall development and empowerment through the power of education. This intervention will play a decisive role in achieving the following SDGs of 2030 at the grassroots:
- ASDG-1 (No Poverty)
- SDG-4 (Quality Education)
- SDG-5 (Gender Equality) and
- SDG-10 (Reduced Inequalities)
PARD INDIA is in a CSR partnership with M/s IRCON International Ltd, New Delhi, a Government of India Undertaking (Navaratna Company) under the Ministry of Railways to implement the “After School Education Program” under the READ Project. This project will support about 200 V-kids in ten (10) Government Primary Schools for twelve (12) months starting from October 2024.
Our “ V-kids ” are those children hailing from rural backgrounds who are often denied equal opportunities in their upbringing, study environment, and exposure to the competitive world.
