PARD INDIA, in a CSR Partnership with M/s IRCON International Ltd, Delhi, launched the READ Center at Government Primary (MPP Special) School in Yernagudem, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, on 25 October 2024. The school administration, local communities, our village team, and volunteers unwaveringly supported the project's launch.
This READ center facilitates the implementation of the “After School Education Program” under our READ Project, supporting the after-school education needs of about 30 deprived children (V-kids) studying 4th class.
PARD INDIA launched its “After School Education Program” in MPP (Special) School in Yernagudem for the first time on 6 August 2011. As of 31 March 2024, we have provided 200,419 e-hours of free education to 713 children (V-kids) of this school's 4th and 5th classes.
The main objectives of the “After School Education Program” address the needs of the children for their overall development and empowerment through the power of education. This intervention will play a decisive role in achieving the following SDGs of 2030 at the grassroots:
- SDG-1 (No Poverty)
- SDG-4 (Quality Education)
- SDG-5 (Gender Equality) and
- SDG-10 (Reduced Inequalities)
PARD INDIA is in a CSR partnership with M/s IRCON International Ltd, New Delhi, a Government of India Undertaking (Navaratna Company) under the Ministry of Railways to implement the “After School Education Program” under the READ Project. This project will support about 200 V-kids in ten (10) Government Primary Schools for twelve (12) months starting from October 2024.
Our “V-kids” are those children hailing from rural backgrounds who are often denied equal opportunities in their upbringing, study environment, and exposure to the competitive world.
