I feel proud to be one of the active volunteers of PARD INDIA, a collective strength of “Agents of Change” committed to creating an everlasting change in the lives of deprived children and their communities in the rural society of India, where I come from.
I was born in Yernagudem village and completed my education in government primary and high schools in the same village. During my childhood days, experienced the hardship of poverty and how it became a deterrent to draw back the children to the classroom. Most of my childhood friends in the village became child laborers and confirmed to work in the fields, having dropped their studies at a very formative age. Even today, we can find similar conditions in rural areas and witness the disparities that exist among children from lower income groups - disadvantaged or vulnerable or outreached communities, who do not have access to quality education, as compared to other children from higher income groups.
Now, I have risen to the global platform only through the power of education by overcoming social and economic challenges at every stage of my life. To bring meaning to my success, I have been on a mission to “Give Back to Society” – my partly earnings, time, knowledge, talent, and experience to support deprived children and marginalized communities at the grassroots and serve them passionately through the PARD INDIA platform.
I believe that quality education is a powerful means that empowers deprived children to break the cycle of poverty. This conviction became my commitment, which transformed into the formation of PARD INDIA in 2011. Over the last 13 years of its history, PARD INDIA has evolved into a global NPO from merely a village volunteer organization. This could be possible through dedication, selfless services, and support from our teams, volunteers, and stakeholders.
Over the period, PARD INDIA has established systems and procedures that ensure transparency and accountability across the organization. Its Projects & Programs interventions have been customized to address the core issues of empowering the deprived children and marginalized communities in Indian rural and suburban societies, connecting them with the UN’s SDGs 2030.
Our mission is to accelerate inclusive development at the grassroots and help create a better world, addressing the issues related to education, health, environment, skill development and creation of livelihood opportunities, primarily focusing on the empowerment of children and women from lower-income communities.
Every one of us, at one point in time, might be thinking of doing something to change the existing conditions of our villages or neighborhoods. I say, "What I can do, I must do." I believe that each of us could make a difference in our own neighborhood by giving a thought, sparing our time, connecting with the local communities, supporting needy people, inspiring young minds, and spreading smiles among them. All these personal traits are part of our commitment to a noble cause, and such actions invariably recognize you as “The POWER of ONE”.
PARD INDIA invites like-minded volunteers to join our platform and stay as an element of social change by sparing your time and resources for a noble cause - “Serving at Grassroots”.
Often, the path one has to tread when guided by his convictions of selfless serviceis full of challenges. In these adverse situations, our true character is tested, and even a temporary failure will help us to uplift since we learn valuable lessons from each setback and re-dedicate our selves to realizing our vision to build a better tomorrow for our generations.
We dream of a brighter India and know we’re not alone. The strength of PARD INDIA is our dedicated team, volunteers, sponsors, beneficiaries, and well-wishers. We strive to make a positive impact, one step at a time. We serve our beneficiaries in India and are not bound by religion, race, caste, region, ethnicity, polity, or gender.
Let us rededicate ourselves for building a better tomorrow.
Sincerely yours,
Bethala Veera Swami
